Walter de Hemingford <\/b>was the second writer that George Markham Tweddell<\/b> wrote about in his 1872<\/p>\n

\n” The next author to whom I shall refer is an English Historian of the fourteenth century – Walter De Hemingford, who was Canon of the Austin Priory at Guisbo’ . The original manuscript of his history, I believe, is preserved in the Advocat<\/i>es Library in Edingburgh. This history was published at Oxford, by that laborious antiquary, Thomas Hearne<\/i>.”<\/p>\n

\nWalter de Hemingford<\/b> (sometimes called Hemingburgh<\/b>) died in Gisbro’ in 1347. He was Canon of Gisbro’ Priory when it was burnt in 1289. His Chronicle was written in Latin.<\/div>\n
