\nCounty of coves, osiers, red banks<\/span>
\nThreaded by switchback roads, curling<\/span>
\ninto sandy-shelves, over ridge, rocks, cliffs,<\/span>
\nstabbed by a criss-crossed shafthead –<\/span>
\nDistant tips of gouged iron-earth-ranks<\/span>
\nof miners homes, smoke wisps fluttering.<\/span>
\nIn an inshore wind, staunched by church towers<\/span>
\nBlack, time-muffled stone under the sky’s tread <\/span>
\nWe feed our eyes, speed for a snatched hour<\/span>
