The name Eggy started off as a bit of yoke! The four Coventry pop group members thought it was all white but their manager thought it was eggcellent.<\/span><\/div>\n

L to r Bill Bates <\/b>Vocals, <\/b>from Wyken. Bill Campbell <\/b>bass, from Stoke. Brothers Roger<\/b> (guitar) and Nigel Lomas<\/b> (Drums) from Foleshill decided to lay their faith in the name.<\/span><\/div>\n

And Eggy are now trying for a lion’s share of the charts with their first record on the Spark label called “You’re Still Mine”<\/span><\/div>\n

Formed after The Sorrows <\/b>split in late 1967 by Roger Loma<\/b>s. Both sides of the single had previously been demoed by the Sorrows . <\/p>\n

Bates previously with The Boll Weevils<\/b>. Bill Campbell<\/b> later with Coconut Mat<\/b> c 1970.<\/span><\/p>\n
