Andy Hayward<\/b>, B<\/b><\/span>ob Bostrum, Geoff Anthil<\/b> formed The Tea Set<\/b> from the remains of Sam Spade and the Grave Diggers<\/b> with the introduction of Andy Kerrigan<\/b> on guitar and Vocalist Little Joe Conway<\/b> from Ireland’s Miami Showband<\/b>. “We were kitted out in custom made outfits playing hard rock<\/i>” Andy admits. “We worked for entrepreneur Reg Calvert<\/b> of Radio London<\/i> and The Fortunes<\/b> fame. We stood in for stable mates Pinkertons Assorted Colours<\/b> after they went off touring with their hit Mirror Mirror<\/i> and took over the Nag’s Head. residency in Nuneaton.<\/span>

\n“We recorded a self-penned ballad You made me cry, but were probably best remembered as the band on stage at Nuneaton’s Co-op Hall when four people were tragically crushed to death on a staircase attempting to get into a packed New Year’s Eve ball.” <\/span><\/p>\n
