Mark Jeffries <\/b>runs Dancing Feet<\/b> \u2013 Ballroom & Latin Dancing Classes in Coventry. Dancing Feet provides people with the opportunity to learn to dance Ballroom & Latin American dances in friendly and social atmosphere in and around Coventry.<\/p>\n

Dancing Feet <\/b>was started by Mark Jefferies<\/b> in 2008, after he qualified as an IDTA dance teacher in both Latin American and Ballroom Dancing.<\/p>\n

Mark Jefferies has a background is in theatre and performance that has been varied and includes:
\nStudying performing arts at Patterson Dance Academy from 1976 \u2013 1978
\nAttending numerous dance and performance related workshops, residential training workshops etc
\nVoice coaching, acting and singing lessons over a number of years
\n2007 gained the IDTA\u2019s Associate Teaching Certificate in Latin American Dancing and recently (July 2104) completed his Licentiate Certificate in Ballroom Dancing
\nHas over 20 years experience as a dance teacher working at a number of different locations, before starting his own school

Couples in training for first Strictly Coventry dance competition<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

18 pairs preparing to strut their stuff at the Albany Theatre on May 17 for the contest based on hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. <\/i>By Ben Eccleston<\/b> <\/span>2 MAY 2014<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/i>“Dancing shoes are the order of the day as the city gears up for the first Strictly Coventry dancing contest.<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 18 couples are in training as they prepare to strut their stuff at the Albany Theatre on May 17 for the competition based on hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each couple is made up of a budding dancer and an expert from either Step by Step Dance School or Coventry Dancing Feet. They will all be putting their best foot forward in aid of Zoe\u2019s Place baby hospice in Ash Green.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark Jefferies, one of the organisers of Strictly Coventry and owner of Coventry Dancing Feet, said: \u201cIt is a challenge for the contestants as they have to learn two dances in six weeks and we have got a wide range of abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey are learning one ballroom dance and one latin.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe invited people to get involved and we now have 18 couples dancing and the entrants range from about 22 years old up to 70.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Each volunteer dancer has been tasked with raising a minimum of \u00a3500 sponsorship for Zoe\u2019s Place, which provides hospice care for children aged up to five years old with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.”<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
